Scattergood Friends School seeks an Artist-in-Residence for the 2018-2019 school year.  Teaching duties are centered around one section of ceramics on Monday and Wednesday afternoons on the Scattergood campus. Teaching duties comprise 200 minutes of direct instructional time with students.

Qualified teaching candidates should:

  •      Have a thorough understanding of inquiry-based learning and possess an ability to articulate a constructivist approach to teaching.
  •      Value student’s questions and ideas and create space for rich, high-level research and expression to occur.
  •      Plan to use the on-campus studio space to create their own original work.

A Bachelor’s or higher Degree in a related field is required.
