How to apply for Tuition Assistance
Apply for tuition assistance through an independent financial evaluator. Scattergood's School ID#: 14801. There is a $51 fee and the processing time can take up to 10-12 business days. You will be notified of your tuition amount when you receive your offer of admission from Scattergood.
Iowa's Education Savings Accounts
Iowa families may be eligible for an Educational Savings Account that would provide funding to an accredited, nonpublic school at the value of $7,826. This account may be combined with tuition assistance and scholarships to significantly reduce the cost of Scattergood's tuition. Please note: you need not be admitted to Scattergood to list us an intended school.
The window for applying for Educational Savings Accounts is April 16-June 30 for the 2024-25 school year.
Scholarships
We have two $10,000 renewable scholarships available for new students who are part of a Quaker meeting. These scholarships are only available to fall admits. See our Scholarships page for more information.

We recognize that a Scattergood Friends School education is a major investment. Families who wish to apply for tuition assistance should complete this online application.
Tuition assistance applications are processed by a third party financial analysis service that will recommend to Scattergood what a family should be able to contribute toward tuition. The amount of tuition assistance will be determined by this analysis and availability of funds.
International Student Fees:
International students may incur fees in excess of the tuition listed above. These fees will depend on a number of factors based on the student's particular needs.
